A themed photobooth for your wedding
12 Dec 2019
Covering Cheshire, Staffordshire, Manchester and beyond, The Jolly Good Photo Co has a photobooth to make your wedding an extra memorable event
Your wedding entertainment choices should be given careful consideration and this extends to non-musical entertainment to keep the momentum going away from the dancefloor.
Striking a chord with all of your wedding guests and guaranteeing them a great time, a photobooth can offer the perfect solution. Karen Makin, owner of The Jolly Good Photo Company – based in Nantwich, explains: “A photobooth is a unique combination of entertainment for guests and a way of recording those amazing memories as wedding photos. It appeals to all ages, can offer a welcome relief from dancing and caters to quieter guests.”
The Jolly Good Photo Co was established in 2012 and offers two photographic options for weddings: the Vintage Photo Booth and Selfie Mirror. The Vintage Photo Booth is the company’s founding product and was discovered in an antique shop before being restored by a team of specialists. The 1850s camera retains its original features but has been updated with the modern technology required for booth photography – as Karen summarises: “The Vintage Photo Booth has the elegant styling of an old-time photo studio but with all the fun, steam and speed of a modern photobooth.”
The open-air booth concept ensures the service is completely wheelchair friendly and allows large groups of guests to be photographed at any one time – Karen recalls the largest group as 56 strong.
Similarly, the interactive Selfie Mirror encourages groups of people to be photographed together and features on-screen animations created in-house by The Jolly Good Photo Co. Both the Vintage Photo Booth and Selfie Mirror are fully customisable to reflect your wedding theme. With a range of high quality photobooth props, backdrops – such as tropical, marble and the paper moon for a vintage wedding theme, as well as photo print styles, there is a wealth of options to personalise your photographic experience.
The Jolly Good Photo Co team will liaise with your venue before the day to arrange set-up on your behalf and an attendant will be on hand during the day to man the Vintage Photo Booth or Selfie Mirror and assist guests. To operate the Vintage Photo Booth, the photographer will go under the hood to take the photobooth fun and fully capture the atmosphere.
Karen says: “We are a friendly, professional and approachable team who put guests at ease and get them involved. We will also ensure the bride and groom have pictures together on the day.”
And that’s not all. Couples can even opt for a luxury wedding guest book compiling the photos and featuring messages from their guests, which is fully completed to take home on the day. The guest book is managed by a Jolly Good Photo Co staff member who prompts guests to sign the book after having their photo taken. This ensures the book stays neat and tidy, ready to present to the happy couple.
Prices range from £395 to £675 and all packages include a password-protected online gallery, retro props and attendant. The most popular packages are ‘Platinum’ for the Vintage Photo Booth and ‘Ruby’ for the Selfie Mirror – priced at £575 – which includes unlimited pictures, three to four hours of photographic fun, guest book and themed props and backdrops, designed to ensure couples and their guests have a jolly good time.
