If you’re looking for ways to keep your guests sweet on the Big Day, look no further than Bold Street Sweets. The store, which stocks the biggest and best selection of confectionery in the North West, specialises in creating a wide range of memorable wedding favours, table centrepieces, bouquets and even tiered wedding cakes - all made entirely out of sweets and tailored to the bride and groom.

With an amazing selection from years gone by, the present day and from across the pond, wedding favours and gifts from Bold Street Sweets are ideal if you’re looking to make a personal gesture to your guests in a way that is also quirky and individual.

The store on Liverpool’s Bold Street, which celebrates its first anniversary next month, recently revealed the North West’s top 10 sweets which put old favourite, Rhubarb and Custard at number one.

The store stocks more than 1,400 varieties of confectionery and has sold over 23 tonnes of sweets since opening in August 2012, including more than 48,000 sweet bags and 12,000 jars of Victorian variety jars.

As well as traditional treats, Bold Street Sweets has also noticed a growing trend for American ‘candy’ which is specially imported every week. Amongst the US challengers to the more traditional British sweets, such as Sherbet Lemons and Cinder Toffee are Milk Duds, Nerds and Peanut M&M’s - which alone sell more than 1,200 packets every week!

Mike McCann, at Bold Street Sweets said: ‘Because we sell such a huge range of sweets, from traditional to brand new, we have a very diverse customer base. It’s great to see different generations coming into the store and evoking childhood memories – or discovering new treats.

‘We have recently experienced huge demand for bespoke gifts and arrangements – especially for weddings – which I have to attribute to our incredibly creative team who take pride in producing something unique, memorable and personal for every customer.’
