Shoot co-ordinator Charlotte Cobb of Pastel Designs says: "Having taken part in quite a few styled shoots I thought it was about time I stepped up and co-ordinated one of my own ideas. I wanted to create a wow statement, something a little bit different to the styled shoots I had been seeing recently. Combining glamour with a palette of brights.
"I set out to find a venue and Sparkford Hall was perfect, known for its alternative style and was very much in-line with my ideas. The blank canvas of a white and grey dining room made the perfect backdrop for our shoot which was filled with stunning amounts of colour. I felt that all the inspiration I have seen on blogs or in magazines is very whimsical and romantic. I love romance so wanted to incorporate that into my mood board but add a vibrant and modern twist with a colour palette of pink, orange, teal and silver."
Stationery
I wanted to again go for the unconventional by using perspex for the invitations, the table plan and the place names. Teamed with silver text, this really made the difference. The place names could double up as a gift for the guests to take home, a keepsake of the day. The table plan suspended within a floral frame is a beautiul statement for the guests to admire.
Styling
Organza sashes were plaited on the back of the chairs so that the contrasting colours really stood out. Sashes were also tied onto the balloons and cut glasses were added to the tables. Giant silver orb balloons from Dream Parties and sash tails from 5 Star Celebrations added a special touch.
Wedding dresses
Both dresses were from Bridal Reloved. The first dress features beautiful ivory lace over a blush silk crepe and hand-stitched embroidery; the dress is by Galia Lahav, part of the haute couture collection. The second dress by Temperley is made with beautiul silk chiffon in an ivory tone and offers a more relaxed boho vibe.
Flowers
Focused on a midsummer's day, flowers played out in bold and vivid colours. Flowers included peonies, dahlias, roses, asclepia, nigella and craspedia. The flower arrangements were loose and relaxed with lots of movement and texture.
Hair and make-up
Soft waves with volume, texture and a side braid offered interest and elegance. The rock chick vibe was echoed in the make-up, achieved using Airbrush make-up and Too Faced products to create a sultry smoky look. This was offset by the beautiul feminine dress.
Cake
A statement coloured tiered cake created the perfect canvas for fresh blooms and mini balloons from Dream Parties. This bold, fun colour scheme delivered an inspiring step away from the norm.
Photography
For photographer Chantel, the fun and vibrance of the shoot was refreshing. The images shot inside offered a Hollywood glamour feel, while the images shot outside in the grounds celebrated the edgy, modern and vibrant vibe of the shoot.
