Feast your eyes on this vibrant woodland wedding shoot filled with bright festival colours, a cool canvas tipi and a couture wedding dress...what’s not to love?
The inspiration
The setting for this shoot could not have been more perfect, located just a short drive from the Cornish coastal town of Newquay, sits The Fir Hill - a gorgeous off-grid five-star glamping retreat and wedding venue. Surrounded by rich woodlands, The Fir Hill offers far-reaching views overlooking the beautiful Porth Reservoir and offers a romantic and wildly fun wedding festival location.
The dramatic woodland ceremony area, wedding yurt, boho artwork and awesome headwear bring this look to life. This shoot combines wedding day loveliness with a rock and roll festival feel, perfect if you are planning a ‘wedfest’ style celebration for your day.
Shoot inspiration included: barefoot brides, woodland weddings and a rock-fest feel, including all the natural elements and woodland ceremony location... a relaxed yet fun festival shoot.
The flowers
The suppliers wanted to create a relaxed festival/rock chick feel, so bright colourful flower arrangements with soft foliage worked really well with the woodland festival setting.
The hair, make-up and outfits
Make-up was used to create a statement; think bold, bright, pretty yet super stylish. The make-up artist Tamsyn Siddiqui made sure the bridal style fitted the brief. For the hair, the model sported big, wild, bountiful curls and a statement headpiece by The Lucky Sixpence.
The dress was a couture outfit by Christine Trewinnard Couture, paired with a short black leather jacket.
The décor
Bringing the outside in, the suppliers drew on the elements surrounding them - using lots of green foliage, natural materials, wood, cotton, hessian within the table set-ups. This allowed them to bring in the location and natural surroundings and combine them with the bridal style.
