Gold accents, soft greens and cappuccino tones take centre stage in this beautifully styled wedding shoot in the New Forest
Jack Aldridge Photography takes us behind the scenes on this opulent country house wedding shoot.
What was the inspiration behind the shoot?
We wanted to create something that was intimate and classic with a modern twist in this beautiful Georgian stately home. The venue is surrounded by acres of natural beauty so bringing the outside indoors was a must. Our inspiration was unpolished golds, overly floral, very royal and alluring.
Tell us a little bit about the venue and why it was chosen
The shoot was held at Hale Park in Hampshire. Typically these buildings are known for their symmetry, which we absolutely fell in love with when viewing the venue. The interior is full of high ceilings with gold accents throughout so we wanted this to be reflected in the style/colour palette chosen.
Also, this is an up and coming intimate wedding venue in the New Forest and we wanted to create a shoot that accentuated what the venue is about.
What did you choose for the flower arrangements?
We wanted the florals to be very natural, untamed, asymmetric with soft greens, crisp whites and cappuccino tones with a touch of maroon coming through for that depth, love and romance. We incorporated gold leaf throughout to complement the antique golds in the wall candelabras and in the fireplace.
We wanted to bring together your classic wedding style with the modern, by using scented tea roses, antirrhinum and white phalaenopsis orchids, which represent love, luxury and beauty.
What kind of look did you want to achieve with for the bride?
Hair-wise, we created fresh choppy Hollywood waves; it’s a very in style for 2020 so wanted to show this off. We also created a voluminous ponytail, which is also very up and coming.
What kind of accessories were used to create these looks and why?
We chose to source handmade accessories from two local suppliers: White Designs and Hampshire Jewels, which were handmade for this particular shoot.
