After attending one too many weddings where the cake was dry and the designs uninspiring we decided it was time for a change in the cake world. Three years ago Cut Above Cake Company was launched to provide wedding, party and corporate celebration cakes that not only look amazing but also taste sensational.

Don’t risk your cake looking unprofessional and amateur. The cake cutting is going to be one of the main photo opportunities at a wedding or celebration party so shouldn’t it be something specifically designed, not left as an afterthought?

At Cut Above Cake we thrive on all things design, we love clients who come to us with loads of ideas or a simply a blank canvas and allow us to let our creative juices flow, we can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed with the results. Whatever your theme or event, whether it’s elegantly ‘vintage’ or you are going for something slightly wackier like an ‘Alice in Wonderland tea party,’ Cut Above Cake will produce a cake that your guests cannot stop talking about... or eating!

Cut Above Cake is run by sisters Fran and Judith, with Fran the head designer and decorator whilst Judith takes on the mammoth task of head baker. With a creative background in advertising and design, Fran turned her talents to creating in cake whether it’s an E-Type Jaguar cake or an intricately decorated lace and pearls wedding cake, she’s a perfectionist. Judith, a self-confessed chocoholic, ensures that there will be no cake left, (so make sure you tell the chef if you want some to take home with you), as guests rave about the moist, juicy, cakey goodness. We have tried out heaps of recipes with Judith often experimenting and holding regular testing sessions and we believe that we have the very best cake flavours there are to be had.

On 20th October 2013 Cut Above Cake will be attending the Wedding Fayre at the Manor by the Lake, Up Hatherley, so do visit our stand. You will be able to try some of our delicious cake flavours, zesty lemon drizzle, exceptional chocolate and Guinness and brilliant apple and cinnamon, a modern alternative to traditional fruit cake which time and again people tell us they are not keen on - until they try ours. Fran will also be on hand to discuss your ideas and you can book a consultation to come to taste and talk cake.

We will have plenty of photos and examples of our work at the fayre so even if you don’t know what you want it is worth popping by, tasting our cake and you never know, you might have made the best wedding decision yet.

Please make sure you get in touch soon to reserve dates for 2014 as weekends are booking up. We deliver throughout Gloucestershire and all the surrounding counties and if you want us to go further just talk to us. Follow us on Facebook and Pintrest for some ideas of the kinds of cake we produce.
