With a focus on the leading lady, this photo shoot showcases how every bride can honour her true self in her bridal look

Hair and make-up artist Ieva Genovesi lifts the lid on this bridal-centric shoot which empowers each and every bride-to-be.

The inspiration

We were inspired by the bride in our photo shoot. The shoot, entitled 'The Bride I Am' focused on the importance of how the bride feels, looks and what she wears ont the day. Sometimes we all want to make a statement and be different. The images represent the bride's character, feminine side, elegance, dreams, hopes, crossing boundaries, being free and most importantly...being herself.

The venue

We chose The Packhorse Inn in Newmarket as the beautiful bridal rooms offer a sense of cosiness and a welcoming feeling. We felt this would really allow our models to feel at home and more honestly express the bride they wanted to portray.

The outfits

The dresses were provided by Inside Bridal and the selection shows how different shapes and sizes can look lovely on the big day. A variety of styles allowed us to capture this concept, including a fishtail design, fairytale gown and bohemian halter-neck - all featuring elegant and intricate detail and embroidery.

Hair and make-up

Portraying three different bridal personalities, I created three hair and make-up looks. For the first bride I created a beautiful boho braid. Simple and pure make-up complemented her soft complexion, but she wore red shoes to represent a desire of daring to be different.

The second bride is also a true romantic, a free spirit and a dreamer. She is happy to be herself and lavishes the attention as a bride. She wore naturally sun-kissed glowing make-up and I created a softly braided up-do with her hair.

The third bride is elegant, feminine and calm; the classic bride. Hair was styled into a more structured shape to fit the beautiful hairpiece - also supplied by Inside Bridal. For the make-up, we focused on her eyes as a mirror of her soul.
