Hipswing Entertainments provide a range of entertainment, dance floors and lighting to enhance your day. But, to get the best from your evening reception, consider this advice:

  1. Booking an act - Always book an act where you can listen and/or watch a video. At Hipswing we ensure we are using experienced performers, who are used to playing at the top north west venues and all acts carry the necessary safety certificates and Public Liability Insurance required.
  2. Booking a DJ – Guarantee a full dance floor all night by working with a company who will work closely with you in the run up to the day, giving you the flexibility to work on song choices so each disco is tailor made to the reception. We also offer a guest request service so that all your guests can be involved too.
  1. Venue lighting – This really does add a wow factor. Choose an experienced company used to working with lighting to ensure all the correct PAT testing is in place and there is sufficient power at the venue. Lighting should complement the room and accentuate features, not take away from any architectural features in the room.
  2. Add a dance floor – Sparkly dance floors in black or white are the must-have accessory for this seasons weddings. When deciding on a dance floor, think about the surface the floor will be set up on and the power in the room. Make sure your guests don’t drink on the dance floor as any wetness which gets in the connections will stop it from working.
