There are so many options for grooms to consider when selecting a suit, it can be overwhelming to know where to start. Here are three things to consider when selecting your outfit for your wedding day.
Experiment with prints
Grooms in 2022 are looking to experiment with prints and patterns when selecting their wedding suit. Oversized checks are currently on trend, giving off a sophisticated vibe and polished look.
If you’re not sure that a patterned outfit would suit you, consider a patterned tie or pocket square instead. Using prints as accent pieces can be just as effective as a whole patterned suit.
Look to earthy colours
As with bridesmaids’ dresses, grooms are leaning towards more earthy tones next year. Darker colours such as burgundies and green tones are ideal colours for an autumn or winter wedding and tie in especially with a countryside wedding.
Alternatively, grooms are also looking to wear lighter and brighter colours on their wedding day. Powdered blues, sage greens and light grey tones can give your outfit and airy yet smart feel. Sandy tones such as soft beiges and browns are ideal for garden parties in warmer weather.
Of course, navy blue suits are still proving popular among grooms-to-be. This colour tends to complement any occasion, whether a formal affair or a rustic setting, and can suit any wedding colour scheme.
Consider your silhouette
While the colour and pattern of your suit is important to consider, so too is the style. Fashion conscious grooms in 2022 are looking to slim, well-tailored suits. These types of suits are becoming the new norm for grooms as they are not only comfortable, but can cater to a range of different body types.
