After a rather dull year in terms of weddings being postponed and being unable to get dressed up, 2021 is the year of hope and celebration for many - the perfect time to add some sparkle to your life.
According to research by Lyst - with the feeling of uncertainty prevalent this year - many people turned to astrology and amulets that could offer guidance or protection. Searches that included “zodiac sign” or “birth sign” have risen 56% year-on-year - suggesting the bridal jewellery will take a celestial turn in 2021.

Abby, who founded Helix & Conch in 2019, says: "Traditionally, bridal jewellery was always pearls and studs, but as we all know, tradition has been kicked to the kerb in favour of bridal two piece outfits, jumpsuits and trouser suits, and so you need to dress your ears around your entire outfit, not the other way around. If you are choosing a simple and structured look then add some sparkle and perhaps create some drama with spikes - like our Picchi earrings. If you have the beautiful gown, then don’t over complicate the accessories, something simple like our Etoile huggie hoop or a super sparkly stud will compliment the look beautifully."

Looking ahead at 2021 trends, Abby says: "The multiple piercing trend isn’t going anywhere, and the styles are getting better and better. Spikes and opals are becoming more and more popular, as are mismatched pieces. For those with multiple piercings, I think adorning with crystals from the lobe up to helix is the order of the day."

Earrings are also the perfect gift of gratitude for your bridesmaids and bridal party - particularly for those that helped pick up the pieces in 2020 when weddings were cancelled and wanting to show how important the people in our lives are.
