1. Tousled tresses
Promote movement and body with this windswept style. Ask your hairdresser to use heated rollers for a Farrah Fawcett-inspired look and finish with a beautiful hairpiece exposing the ear.
2. Hollywood starlet
Go old school Hollywood glamour with a nod to the art deco era. Request soft curls which add a touch of femininity and opt for a bejewelled headband for extra sparkle.
3. Pastel infusion
Pastel colours are still going strong in the fashion stakes and if you want to add interest to your shorter hair, why not take the plunge with a pretty shade of pink, purple or blue? If you lack the confidence to adopt all-over colour, apply pigment to just the ends with a wash-in/wash-out dye.
4. Finger waves
Brides looking for a 1920s vintage style should look no further than the pin curls and finger 'Marcel' waves which defined the era.
5. Bridal mohawk
Punk brides will delight in the mohawk variations on offer. Keep it short on the sides and style away on top, creating movement with a texturising spray and finishing with lashings of hairspray. Keep a mini hairspray on standby throughout the day to hold the look in place from noon to night.
6. Short and simple
If you want to keep your look simplistic and straightforward, style as normal and add a hairpiece or scattered hair jewels to make your hairstyle even more special.
7. Classic curls
Who's to say short-haired girls can't wear curls? Bouncy and bountiful, curls are a timeless option for brides who want an ultra feminine and flirty hairstyle.
8. Boho bob
It's all about whimsical, ethereal texture for boho styles and this bob proves you don't need length to achieve it. Add lacy, metallic or bejewelled hair accessories for a beautifully bohemian final flourish... or why not embrace the ever-popular flower crown?
9. Gentle wave
If you have an asymmetrical hairstyle where one side is longer than the other, add a subtle wave in the length and tuck the other side behind the ear. This is a low-maintenance style which won't require much upkeep throughout the big day but is also wonderfully flattering.

10. Straight and sleek
Chic, sophisticated and easy to create, a sleek and straightened bob will look just as beautiful as styles which have taken hours to achieve. Keep a finishing serum on hand throughout your wedding day, adding a pea-sized amount to the lengths to tame any frizz and unwanted flyaways.
