Runaway Bride is a world first, set in the magnificent grounds of the former royal residence, Hockwold Hall, based in Norfolk. Centrally located in East Anglia on the border of Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk, Hockwold Hall offers an incredible backdrop for this unique 3km wedding themed fun run with 10 themed challenges, to be held at noon on Sunday, 21st May, 2017.
Hundreds of engaged couples, from various ages and backgrounds, will put their relationship to the test as they learn to work together to overcome some quirky wedding themed challenges. Brides will leave five minutes before their grooms, who must then catch up with them before completing all the tasks together, such as a ring toss, ball and chain carry, bouquet throw at a target, and the final 100-metre dash being carrying their partner across the threshold.
The winning couple will cross the 'bridal archway' finish line greeted by elated spectators and a civil celebrant present to offer them a winners' blessing, followed by the couple's first dance as ‘Mr and Mrs Runaway Bride’. The winning couple will receive a bespoke Runaway Bride award and an astonishing wedding package on 19th May, 2018. hosted at Hockwold Hall to the value of £25,000 (terms and conditions apply).
Other prizes will be awarded on the day including best-dressed couple, and all competitors will receive a special Runaway Bride inspired certificate for completion.
