Set amid the magnificent surroundings of Bolton Abbey in Skipton, The Tithe Barn has started taking reservations for summer 2018 weddings.

Part of Cripps & Co's wedding barn portfolio, The Tithe Barn was built in the 17th century and is one of the biggest timbered aisled barns in the north of England. Sympathetically restored, the venue can accommodate up to 400 guests and offers a beautiful ceremony area, dining space, bar and seating areas.

Catering is provided by the affable and attentive team of staff, prepared from an open kitchen in view of wedding guests complete with Parisian rotisseries and an indoor barbecue. Street food options are also available, from Baz & Fred’s award-winning pizzas to popular bao buns and burgers. Guests will also benefit from the group’s direct relationship with boutique wine estates in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

Stunning scenery will also steal the hearts of prospective couples looking for an exclusive-use venue to hold their special day, with views over the Priory ruins and the River Wharfe.

Benedict Heyes, estates director for the Bolton Abbey Estate, says: “We are very excited about this initiative. It has been an ambition of the Estate to find a new but sympathetic use for this building. Furthermore, it is an important historical building and its new use as a wedding barn will enable it to be enjoyed and seen by many other people. Thanks and appreciation should also be extended to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Historic England for their insight in supporting this development.”
